The Hematology Unit is equipped with three flow cytometry based five part automated
hematology cell counters. The Unit has the state of the art Coulter-Beckman
– HMX, Automated Reticulocyte measurements, Sysmex
SF 3000 and Sysmex XT 2000i, five part automated hematology
differential cell counter and two sysmex Kx -21 for three part studies. The coagulation studies and factor assays are done on automated Stago STA compact coagulometer .
State of art hemoglobinopathy testing for Thalassaemia is carried out using HPLC
– Bio-rad Variant analyzer.
