The Laboratory is fully computerized with its Local Area Network and Laboratory Management Software . The Laboratory is fully automated with most of the instruments hooked to the laboratory management software which receives the data from them .

The Surgical pathology unit is equipped with Automated tissues Processors, Rotatory Microtome from Shandon & Lipshaw , Knife Sharpeners, Shandon's Sequenza Immunostainers , Shandon's Cytocentrifuge to handle the surgical specimens. The Immuno-Histochemistry unit is equipped by a panel of almost forty antibodies as on date. The Hematology unit is equipped with two Flow-cytometry based five part automated hematology . The unit has the state of the art Coulter-Beckman-HmX twenty-six parameters five part automated hematology analyzer with automated Reticulocytes measurement, Sysmex SF-3000 five part automated hematology differential cell Counter and a Sysmex KX-21 for three part studies.

The coagulation studies and factor assay are done on automated coagulometers. The Biochemistry unit of the lab is supported by two Random Access Auto analyzers from Hitachi-Roche hooked online to the lab local area network , a Dry chemistry analyzer from Johnson&Johnson and lon-selective electrolyte analyzers. The hormonal estimation is done using Electro-chemiluminescence and enhanced Chemiluminescent technique using Elecsys 2010 & DPC Immulite instrument.

The Immunology unit is supported by ELISA plate Readers, Washers And Fluorescent microscope. The Diagnostic Molecular Pathology unit is equipped with the requisite instrument to perform real time PCR and Chromosomal analyses. The Molecular pathology unit provides various viral studies. The unit is also equipped with UV Transilluminator and Laminar flow unit.

The laboratory has facilities to do Electrophoresis of various types, Densitometry scans and Fluorescence-in-situ Hybridization (FISH) beside Column chromatography. State of art hemoglobinopathy Testing for Thalassaemia is carried out using HPLC. The Laboratory is also equipped to do Digital Photography , Video Microscopy and Image capture and Analysis. The Microbiology unit besides catering to the routine tests has Versatrek Mini-API for automated rapid microbial identification and drug-sensitivity testing and has facilities for rapid TB cultures. The flow cytometry unit is euipped with state of RT FOUR COLOUR Beckman coulter flowcytometry with Expo 32 analysis software. The flowcytometry unit is actively engaged in Leukemia & Lymphoma characterization. The backbone of the laboratory are the good quality microscopes from Olympus, Nikon & Lieca permitting Polarizing , Fluorescent microscopy and light microscopy.
The laboratory library has a rich heritage of the old and the new. The reference library of the lab has almost 4000 books and various journals of Pathology and Medicine. The lab has ready to access to the internet and constantly updates using the Mediline and Cyberspace Journal.
